Established under the Uttar Pradesh Arabi Farsi Universities Act 2009 (U.P. Act No. 12 of 2009) this University got its name as ' Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University' by an Amendment in the year 2012 in the name of well acclaimed Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer whose simplicity and generosity have inspired people across the globe. It also holds the status of 12B and 2f of University Grants Commission. In the month of February, 2020 the State Cabinet, passed the proposal to rename the University as 'Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University." Situated on Sitapur-Hardoi Bypass Road,

 the University aims to equip its students with quality education along with a deep understanding of the cultural fabric of the country and inspires them to contribute progressively towards building a knowledge society. The University started its first academic session in August 2013 with students pursuing studies in Urdu, Arabic, Persian, English, Hindi, Geography, History, Economics, Home-Science.

 Physical Education, Political Science, Education, Commerce, Computer Science, Business Administration and Journalism and Mass Communication under its Graduate and Postgraduate programmes. Apart from these. Diploma courses have also been a popular option among students enrolling in the University.

Therefore the University has also introduced AICTE approved B.Tech course in Civil Engineering. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Fashion Technology and Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in the University since 2019. The University is constantly making new endeavors to establish its identity as a LanguageUniversity.

Security

Besides taking care of physical security, efforts have been made to secure the premises digitally and for this purpose CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the campus. The University also provides free Wi-Fi facility to all students, faculty members and non-teaching staff.

INFRASTRUCTURE & SERVICES

The University has in its offing several infrastructural amenities to cater to the academic needs of the students.

ACADEMIC BUILDING

The Academic Building of the University boasts of air conditioned, projector assisted classrooms for audio

visual teaching and learning as well as an auditorium, faculty rooms for teachers and seminar/conference halls for debates, discussions and other academic activities.

READING ROOM

For the convenience of the students and the teachers, each floor of the academic building has a separate reading room to provide a congenial environment of learning for the students and scholars

LABS

The Academic Building also has a Geography Lab for the students and a separate SPSS lab for research scholars where they learn the techniques of operating the software and use the same to analyze data for their

research.

COMPUTER EQUIPPED LABS

The Department of Computer Science maintains an internet supported Computer Lab which can be used by the faculty members and students for research and academic purposes. All other Departments have also been equipped with computer labs to make the students adept at using ICT in their respective subjects.

ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING

The beautiful Administrative Building of the University is a landmark that greets all students and visitors as they enter the University campus. This Block buzzes with activity throughout the day catering to a diverse range of student affairs and financial activities. The office of the Vice Chancellor, Finance Officer, Controller of Examinations and Registrar are also located in this building.

One of the major attractions of this building is the multipurpose conference room equipped with latest tools of communication including facilities of video conferencing.

STUDENTS FACILITY CENTRE (SFC)

The SFC started functioning from the last academic session. The Centre is equipped with several student amenities like canteen, print and photocopy shop and stationary shop. A girl's common and hobby room equipped with indoor games has also been constructed in this building to provide avenues of recreation to girl students of the University. Apart from this, the building also has NCC and NSS offices which undertake several social welfare activities in and around the University,

STUDY CENTRE

The study Centre of the University is the latest addition to its already existing magnificent infrastructure. This

Centre has been developed with an aim to promote learning and research activities of the University. The Study

Centre houses Deen Dayal Upadhyay Shodhpeeth. Department of Home Science, Department of Journalism

and Mass Communication and Centre for Modern European and Asian Languages

MEDICAL CENTRE

KHWAJA MONEDDIN CHISITTI LANGUAGE UNIVERSITY, LUCKNOW

The Medical Centre of the University caters to the medical needs of students and staff. The Centre offers 24 hour OPD facility and is equipped to deal with any emergency situation. A nurse is available in the Centre round the clock and a doctor is available for consultation in the Centre for four hours everyday. The University has also signed an MoU with Career Institute of Medical/Dental Sciences and Hospital situated at IIM road. Under this MoU, all students, teachers and employees of the University can avail OPD, Dental and Hospital facilities of Career Hospital at a nominal fee. The hospital also provides ambulance facility to the University in

case of any emergency.

BANK

An exclusive branch of Canara Bank with ATM facility is also operative within the campus to facilitate financial transactions for the University community, specially the students. The students can also open zero balance accounts in this branch to avail the benefits of the government scholarship schemes. E-LEARNING

like e-learning, virtual classrooms, web based learning. LMS and virtual labs have become a reality. Thus, to

provide the students with seamless learning opportunities, the University has the provision to conduct both

online and offline classes. A vast e-content resource has been created by the University teachers and is

available on different online platforms for the case of the students. To promote audio-visual learning, the

University also has an official YouTube Channel that hosts more than 500 video lectures prepared by the

teachers on a variety of subjects.

INDOOR THEATRE

For students interested in performing arts and theatre there is a provision of Indoor Theatre inside the Student

Facility Centre (SFC) where cultural events are organized on a regular basis.

UNIVERSITY GUEST HOUSE

Besides academic engagements, extra-curricular activities are a regular phenomenon at this University wherein guests from across the country and abroad keep taking part. As a host, the University has made provision for their comfortable stay at its Guest House which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.

MEDIA STUDIO

A futuristic Media Studio has been established in the University under the Department of Journalism and Mass

Communication with the aim of imparting practical training to the students of the Department. The studio is

equipped with a high definition indoor outdoor camera, teleprompter, interactive screen and high end editing

system. The studio is well equipped to support recordings of video lectures as well as production of high

quality films. The studio also has separate audio section for voice over, recording and radio training. Various

workshops related to shooting, audio recording and editing are organized for the students in the studio

TRANSPORTATION FACILITY

Since the University is located at the outskirts of Lucknow, transportation has been a challenge, and hence to facilitate students with ease of commuting, University has started its own bus service. Several other modes of transport are also available for the students to commute from the University to the city. The University also provides free e-content to students, researchers and faculty members through its subscribed e-resources. The University has its own library portal developed by Knimbus where more than 5 Lac e-books, 70000 e-journals and approx. 10,000,000 research articles from various National and International publishers are available free of cost to the users. The students are also provided with access to major research work from Indian and Foreign Universities through J-Gate.

CCTV CAMERA AND WI-FIFACILTY

In compliance with the directives of UP State Government, all examinations of the University are conducted under CCTV surveillance. Besides this the class rooms, labs, reading rooms, lobbies and all other important sections of the University campus have also been secured through CCTV cameras. Good health is the key to a successful life. Thus, keeping in view the overall wellbeing of its staff and students, the University has opened a Gymnasium and Club that provides a wide array of health and recreational facilities under one roof. The gymnasium offers the latest and best exercise equipment along with indoor table tennis and badminton courts aimed at promoting health awareness in the campus. Apart from this, the Gymnasium is also aimed at providing intense training to sportspersons of the University.

To train the students in outdoor activities and prepare them for Intra College and Inter college competitions the University also has a Basket Ball court and a Cricket net practice pitch..

HOSTEL FACILITY

The University is fast expanding both in terms of facilities and students enrolled. The University

has separate boys and girls' hostels that provide convenient accommodation for the students with in house mess facility. The boys' hostel has a capacity of around 300 students, and the girls' hostel also offers an accommodation for 300 students. To make the stay of the students pleasant and enjoyable, various activities, events and celebrations are organized within the hostels on a regular basis. Both the hostels are enabled with free wi-fi services and indoor games. CCTV cameras have also been installed to maintain safety and security. The allotment of rooms is made as per the rules, guidelines and relevant regulations of the University. The Hostel facility is available at quite an affordable cost, i.e. INR 9025/-Annual) for single occupancy and INR 7525/- for double occupancy. An amount of INR 3000/- will be deposited at the time of allotment as Security Money (Refundable). The facility of single

occupancy is available only for Ph.D. students. Besides this, students will have to pay the mess charges for availing the mess facility, that is compulsory for every resident.
